UPSC Prelims 2023

Dear UPSC aspirants,

As the exam date of May 28th, 2023 approaches, it’s natural to feel a mix of anxiety and self-doubt. You may find yourself questioning your efforts and comparing them to others. However, let me assure you that these feelings are common among serious aspirants. The reason behind this is that everyone puts in their best efforts, studies from similar materials, and attends similar coaching institutes. Remember, you are not alone in experiencing these emotions. My request to all of you is to remain composed and calm. Trust in the efforts you have put in and believe that you are on the right track. Avoid dwelling on the perceived preparedness of others. Instead, focus on your own studying and evaluate how sincere your efforts have been. While it’s beneficial to discuss with fellow aspirants, do not let it discourage you. In the end, it’s your individual performance that matters. To prepare yourself mentally, I advise you to engage in mock exams and visualize the actual examination scenario. Picture yourself in the examination hall, receiving the question paper, taking a cursory look at the questions, and calmly starting to attempt them. Some questions may be challenging, and you may need more time or choose to revisit them later. This process will continue until you finish the exam. Take time to review your answers before submitting the answer sheet. Practice this visualization exercise multiple times to boost your confidence. I’m confident that you are already attempting rehearsal tests and mock exams to ensure you complete the exam within the given time frame. Remember, it’s normal to encounter challenging questions or moments of uncertainty. Stay focused, manage your time wisely, and give your best effort. In conclusion, I want to assure you that everything will be fine. Believe in yourself and your hard work. Trust that the efforts you have invested will yield results. Stay composed, maintain a positive mindset, and approach the exam with confidence. I extend my heartfelt best wishes to each and every one of you. May you perform to the best of your abilities. May success be your companion. You’ve got this!

God bless you all and may your dreams come true.
