Mentor & Philanthropist

The number of people coming to meet Dr. Singal for various reasons never cease. They find in their mentor a solution to most of their issues. A big believer of education and value building, he initiated the Bal Biradari concept. Here children from slums who have left their schooling are brought to continue their studies. In collaboration with the Municipal Commissioner, he launched two residential schools for the runaway children found on the railway platforms.

Painter

As a young child, Dr. Singal loved painting. But as he grew older, it was left behind under the pressure of scoring better marks after his 10th standard. But this old love for painting revived after he joined the services. He feels painting is much more than colors.

Amateur Photographer

Being a police officer has provided him ample opportunities to visit different places bringing him close to various art forms, traditions, and cultures spread across different parts of India. Over the years he has successfully created a huge documentation of pictures. He exhibited his Kumbh Mela collection of photographs at the Jahangir Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2019.

Horse-Rider

He feels it is one of the best forms of exercise that helps improve one’s balance, posture, and body coordination. Further, harnessing the power to controlling an animal in itself feels rewarding and it can boost one’s confidence.

Rifle & Pistol Shooter

Dr. Singal has participated in the 10 meters pistol shooting events at many places. In the year 2011, he won a bronze medal in the services category at a national level, which was conducted by the National Rifle Association of India. He has also participated at Maharashtra State Police Meet Firing competition for officers and has won several medals.
